Our program provides many of our students the opportunity to train and compete in local, state and regional shows across New England and the Northeast. Some students have been lucky enough to train and compete at the national level in the US and Canada. We consider ourselves lucky to offer this experience to our students and their families, should they choose to participate.
Our lesson students regularly compete at one-day local horse shows throughout the summer and fall. They also have the choice to attend local Academy shows and Winter Tournaments which all are perfect for our beginner riders to show on the farm lesson horses. These are affordable opportunities that allow each student and their family the joy and excitement of the “showing” experience.
We believe that pairing the right rider with the perfect horse is the key to a great performance. Our students put a lot of time and effort into their show horses so that they are always prepared for the season ahead. Many of our young show riders work all winter long with their own horses and lesson horses as well. This helps them learn new techniques and consistently improve their skills for the season ahead.
For us, showing horses is much more than just winning a ribbon—showing is another way that we teach our kids about perseverance, dedication, and the value of hard work. It also shows kids the importance of friendship, sportsmanship, and teamwork, as they show and grow as riders and people with their barn-mates and friends.
